Intro

The Rajarhat Court (Commercial) is located at its temporary address of \”International Finance Center, AA-II, CBD-I, Newtown, Kolkata – 700156.\” In a nearby location, a permanent location is being established, and the department has already acquired the aforementioned property and is in the process of developing it further.

The court complex is well-equipped with wifi services, a waiting area for litigants and Ld. Advocates, a mediation center, a video conference room, and other amenities that cover the essential infrastructure needed for efficient court operations.

Actually under the leadership of Dr. Ashok Mitra, an administrative reform committee proposed splitting the district in half in 1983, and the committee\’s recommendation led to the creation of the North and South 24 Parganas districts. The Greater 24 Parganas\’ five sub-divisions, Barasat (headquarter), Bangaon, Barrackpore, Basirhat, and Bidhannagar also known as Salt Lake City, have formed the North 24- Parganas, which was included in the Presidency Division.
