Judgement on wife’s illicit affair
Seeking third party phone information to prove wife’s illicit affair violates personal privacy. The Karnataka High Court has given such a verdict in a case related to the illicit relationship of the wife. Justice M. Nagprasanna made this comment dismissing the judgment of the family court. In a 2018 divorce case, a family court in Karnataka ordered a mobile service provider to submit the tower location and call details of a young man’s phone. The man claimed that his wife had an illicit relationship with that young man. The young man appealed to the High Court challenging the order of the family court. Following that plea, the High Court dismissed the order of the family court.
